Essential Functions:
- Set up in a fast and accurate manner and safely operate fabrication equipment.
- Use power and hand tools safely as the job requires.
- Refer to drawings, blue prints, and sketches as required to perform fabrication tasks.
- Maintain accurate material usage records.
- Operate overhead crane and forklifts in a same manner as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping in performance of work tasks.
Technical Skills:
- Basic working knowledge on inventory and fabrication drawing documentation.
- Strong experience with fabrication, blue print reading and layout required.
Behavioral Skills:
- Interact with all individuals at all organizational levels.
- Conduct self in a respectful and appropriate manner and to safely perform essential job tasks.
- Perform tasks in an efficient and productive manner to meet customer project schedules.
- Reason and apply principles of logic to a wide range of factors when working on jobs.
- Read and interpret complex drawings.
General Hazards:
- Proper operation of forklifts; use of seat belts when driving as rollover protection to move product between 5,000 to 25,000 pounds.
- Proper procedures must be followed for crane operation to lift product between 50,000 to 200,000 pounds.
- Proper lifting techniques must be utilized to lift product; additional assistance required when lifting product in excess of 50 pounds.
